T and Annie named her this because of course it was a plant, but also T wanted to always remember his mother Rarity... and later Annie.

Clover is a high spirited mare, who barely loses her confidence. her father always tells her stories about her mother, and clover is encouraged by them to be nice to everypony. which can make her naive at times but her royal cousins are always there to have her back. Clover likes to hang out with Princess Nidra, even if Nidra doesn't want to hang with her. Clover just earns for a mother figure after hers has past away. and she thinks that her father and Nidra make a cute couple.

Overall this pony hybrid loves to look out for others and is very sympathetic to their needs. some might say she inherited the generosity.
